Anthony Martial's name has graced the pages of Transfer Talk
a number of times over the past few weeks.
The Red Devils have been unable to offer Martial a permanent
role due to the emergence of Marcus Rashford and investment in Romelu Lukaku.
The France international has turned in a few eye-catching displays off the
bench, but they have not been enough to convince Jose Mourinho to start the
21-year-old.
It should come as no surprise, then, that United are looking
into making a proposal to Barcelona concerning a swap deal with Martial for
Ivan Rakitic, according to the Star.
The United boss appears open to receiving another player in
return for the France international with the Croatian midfielder seemingly an
attractive target.
Barcelona Ready
£120m Coutinho Offer
Barcelona are ready to come back in for Philippe Coutinho
after seeing a number of bids knocked back by Liverpool this summer.
The Blaugrana have revealed their intent to make a fresh bid
for the Brazilian, who shone during international duty with the Selecao.
CEO Oscar Grau said: "We are ready to buy Coutinho in
the winter market, or any player the technical staff request. But it is
important to adjust ourselves, so if there are to be arrivals, there must be
exits."
The Mail suggests the Reds will receive a £120m bid for
their prized jewel. But with the 25-year-old unlikely to push for a move due to
cementing a starring role under manager Tite for Russia 2018, Barcelona could
be forced to wait until next summer.
Chelsea To Return
For Alex Sandro
Chelsea maintain a strong interest in Alex Sandro, reports
the Star, despite Juventus pushing a two-year extension to secure the Brazilian
until 2022.
Antonio Conte is keen to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford
Bridge as a more attack-minded left wing-back, despite Marcos Alonso performing
excellently so far this season.
The champions also rate Danny Rose highly, but the England
international is thought to favour a move to Manchester United if he leaves
Spurs.
Real Madrid Boss
Draws Up Transfer Shortlist
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has handed president
Florentino Perez a list of his preferred targets ahead of a summer spending
spree.
The Spanish champions are expected to spend bid next summer,
with the club already making plans to bring in Harry Kane. It’s claimed three
of their players will be offered to Spurs as part of any deal.
However, Zidane has also told Perez to add Bayern Munich’s
David Alaba, Tottenham’s Dele Alli and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala to his list of
targets, according to Spanish publication Diario Gol.
The publication adds that any incomings and outgoings at the
Bernabeu are likely to be limited in the winter window and major incomings will
only be sanctioned if the club – who have endured a frustrating start to the
new season – continue to suffer a dip in results.
Manchester United
Make New Plan To Lure Fabinho
Manchester United are reportedly closing on a swoop for
Monaco star Fabinho when the transfer window opens, according to reports in
France.
The Brazilian star was very much on Jose Mourinho’s radar
over the summer, but the United boss instead opted to sign Nemanja Matic from
Chelsea in a £40m deal instead.
However, Mourinho is said to have remained keen on the
versatile Brazilian and is ready to make his signing his top focus in the
January window. The United boss has seen his central midfield beset by injuries
this season, with Marouane Fellaini joining Paul Pogba on the sidelines.
It’s claimed the signing of Fabinho has been made No 1 focus
and has finally been given the green light by Monaco, with the player providing
valuable cover to United in both midfield and at right-back.
And with Monaco struggling in the Champions League, Le10
Sport claims the reigning Ligue 1 champions will allow Fabinho to leave if they
receive their €55m asking price.
