Real Madrid make a move in the race to sign Europe’s hottest prospect, while a target for Premier League sides Arsenal and Man City looks ready to stay in France, according to Friday’s European papers.
Spurs Are Latest With Pulisic Interest
Up until now Liverpool have been the main Premier League club with mooted interest in Borussia Dortmund and U.S. sensation Christian Pulisic, mainly because of the Jurgen Klopp connection.
But the Daily Mail reports that Pulisic's performances for BVB have begun to spark interest elsewhere, with Tottenham chief scout Steve Hitchen taking in BVB's Champions League quarterfinal first-leg defeat against Monaco.
Pulisic, 18, didn't start the game but came on at half-time and gave a good account of himself as Dortmund scored twice. Pulisic, who is contracted to Dortmund until 2020, was recently the subject of reported interest from Bayern Munich.
Barca Eye Summer Makeover
Barcelona's 3-0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League this week has left no doubt for those in charge at Barca that changes are needed this summer, and according to Sport, plans are already underway to that effect.
Apparently a list of dream signings has been drawn up. Names include Philippe Coutinho, Hector Bellerin, Marco Verratti and Paulo Dybala -- although the Argentine has committed to a new long-term contract at Juventus since that report.
In addition, there will be a bigger focus on the club's academy, which Sport reports has been forgotten in recent years. That could see Carles Alena promoted to the first-team squad and Gerard Deulofeu re-signed from Everton.
With many names rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea players will leave this summer?
Wenger Laugh Off Alexis’ Wages Rumour
Arsene Wenger has laughed off reports that Arsenal have offered Alexis Sanchez a new contract worth £300,000-per-week, and reiterated that negotiations with the forward and Mesut Ozil will wait until the summer.
Wenger also insisted he had "nothing" to say about his own future following Monday's 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace, which left Arsenal with a "massive" challenge to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
Sanchez has been the focus of increased speculation in recent weeks as Arsenal's poor form has led to rumours that he will leave the club this season.
The Evening Standard reported on Thursday that Arsenal are prepared to offer the Chile international a bumper deal worth £300,000-a-week -- making him the best paid player in the Premier League.
But Wenger seemed to dismiss that figure as unrealistic when asked about it at a news conference on Friday.
"Let me calculate. How much is that per year? Yes, OK," Wenger said with a laugh. "First of all, I cannot confirm that we have offered that. Secondly, we will do as always ... we have to consider our financial potential to sustain the wages for the whole squad.
"What is for sure is that what is paid per week today was 20 years ago per year. Will that continue to go up? I don't know. I'm always tempted to say no but I was wrong on that front."
Real Madrid Turn Up The Heat In Race For Mbappe
Real Madrid have made an approach for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Spain.
Marca claims that Real boss Zinedine Zidane has been chasing the Frenchman for the last four years with the striker known to be a Real Madrid fan with Cristiano Ronaldo his idol.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are among those interested in his services following a brilliant season in Ligue 1.
The 18-year-old has scored 15 times in his last 11 starts with 21 goals in total for the season, helping Monaco to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, while they currently occupy first position in Ligue 1.
And the report in Marca continues by saying that although Mbappe wants to move to Real Madrid, he would like another season at Monaco.
The reported asking price for his services would be a huge €100million (£85m) with Monaco hoping to get a near world record fee for the youngster.
Arsenal & Man City Target To Sign New Deal At PSG
Paris Saint-Germain have offered defender Serge Aurier a new deal in an effort to ward off interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Manchester City, according to reports.
The Ivorian has been in and out of the team under new boss Unai Emery which has alerted Premier League teams to his potential availability.
His future seemed up in the air with Thomas Meunier preferred sometimes to him in defence with Aurier only making 17 Ligue 1 starts this campaign.
However, with only two years to run on his existing deal, France Football claims that Aurier is set to extend his contract in France with PSG willing to extend his contract until 2022.
Monaco star Kylian Mbappe is flying under no one's radar after his stellar Champions League campaign for the principality club, but according to Tuttosport, it's Inter Milan that want him most. The outlet reports that the Nerazzurri are lining up a €70m bid for the 18-year-old, who scored twice in Monaco's 3-2 win against Dortmund on Wednesday.
The Daily Mail claims that rather than target Dele Alli, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the transfer market, Manchester City will look abroad because they feel English players will prove too difficult to sign given their long-term contracts or the unwillingness of Premier League clubs to sell to league rivals.
Liverpool are set to kick off their summer spending with the signing of a new goalkeeper, but it will not be the big-name arrival many fans had hoped for. The Daily Mirror reckons Vitezslav Jaros will arrive from Slavia Prague after turning down Southampton. There is probably nothing for Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet to worry about just yet, though, as Jaros is only 15 years old.
Slightly more encouraging for Liverpool supporters will be the pursuit of Virgil van Dijk. It was reported in Thursday's Transfer Talk that Everton were keen on the Southampton defender, while Manchester City and Chelsea are also reportedly in the race.
But Liverpool have history when it comes to signing players from St. Mary's, and according to the Daily Mail, Jurgen Klopp will be given the financial backing he needs to land big names (such as the Netherlands defender) this summer.
