Nigerian forward Osaze Odemwingie kicked off his stint in Indonesia in scoring fashion, netting in Madura United’s 2-0 win over Bali United Pusam on Sunday, April 16.
Odemwingie joined Madura United ahead of the start of the 2017 Indonesia Liga 1 season.
In their first game of the season, the 35-year-old scored from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute to double the lead for Madura United.
The former Super Eagles player will be hoping to continue with his goal scoring form when Madura United travel to face Persela on Friday, April 21. He posted a photo with his cute little daughter after the game on Twitter.

Osaze’s new side Madura United finished third in the league last season and are based in Pamekasan, Madura, East Java. They are second in the Indonesia Liga 1 after just one game.
