Forgotten Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has been training with the fifth-tier Englisn side in a bid to secure a short term contract.
The free agent has not signed a deal, but has instead found a new profession by mentoring and teaching teaching younger players.
“Yak is courteous, he comes and watches the games, he pays entrance. He’s fully on board with what I’m doing and what the club are doing,” Garrard said to the BBC.The 33 year old ex-Nigerian international who played in the Premier League for Everton, Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers, has been giving advice to Boreham Wood’s 21-year-old Morgan Ferrier – a striker that now has seven goals from 13 matches this term.
