Yaya Toure was part of Manchester City’s training session on Tuesday as they prepared for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Celtic.
The midfielder continues to be involved with first-team training after City boss Pep Guardiola last week said he would not pick him again unless he received an apology from the player’s agent Dimitri Seluk for comments he made in the media.
Toure, who trained with a City scarf wrapped around his neck, is not eligible for the game at Celtic Park as he was left out of Guardiola’s squad for the Champions League group stage – a move which Seluk suggested had humiliated the Ivorian.
The 33-year-old has only made one appearance in all competitions for the club this term under new manager Guardiola.
PA Sport claimed Toure “looked happy”during Tuesday morning’s session at the City Football Academy, the first 15 minutes of which were open to the media.
He later claimed it was “difficult not being involved” but wished his team-mates the best for Wednesday’s clash away at Celtic.
Good training session this morning. Difficult not being involved in Champions League, but I wish my team mates good luck for tomorrow! 🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/9YgAqVU1h8— Yaya Touré (@YayaToure) September 27, 2016
