The 16-year-old has already impressed by scoring twice in an Under-18s match against Middlesbrough at Carrington, which United won 5-1.
According to the SUN, this splendid display by the young attacker caught the attention of academy chief Nicky Butt and Kanu will now stay with Man United as the Red Devils run the rule over the teenager.
The forward, who can also play in midfield, is the latest youngster to join Nicky Butt’s youth set up at Old Trafford.
Kanu scored twice in 17 appearances for West Ham’s academy team during the 2015-16 campaign.
