Next month’s final AFCON qualifier between Nigeria and Tanzania will be staged at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo.
Earlier media reports had suggested the qualifier will be played in Port Harcourt.
The match is slated for Saturday, September 3.
The Akwa Ibom Stadium, nicknamed ‘The Nest of Champions’, played host to the Super Eagles 2015 AFCON qualifier against South Africa in November 2014. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Eagles training camp is expected to open on Sunday, August 28. Egypt have already won the three-team AFCON following the sensational withdrawal of Chad.
Nigeria have two points from three matches, while Tanzania are on a point going into next month’s match in Uyo.
