Abia Warriors forward, Chisom Chikatara is set to join FC Lugano of Switzerland.
Following a disclosure by Warriors’ chairman, High Chief Emeka Inyama that Chikatara is going to Switzerland, transfer expert, Daniel Martins says the striker is possibly heading to Lugano.
Just a week ago, Wydad Casablanca announced Chikatara as their latest signing on their website, a move Abia Warriors denied. (Click here if you missed it).
Lugano are in the Europa League and 22 year old Chikatara will add fresh impetus to their frontline if his deal goes through after terminating his pre contract with Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca.
“FC Lugano were the last Swiss team to have inquired about his services from so when his chairman said he is heading to Switzerland I will be damned if he doesn’t join them.
“The deal to Lille of France broke down as they were not fully convinced about his contract termination with Wydad Casablanca beside he would have been loaned out if he was signed” Martins said
