According to court documents, the meth found on him had a purity of about 72%. The 30-year-old was on Monday, July 4 found guilty and given an eight-year jail sentence at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Cambodia.
Although he claimed to b a footballer, police say Oderah has been working as a drug dealer since he came to Cambodia. Alongside his jail term, he has also been given the fine of $10,000.
During a hearing last month, he confessed that he just acted as a delivery man but claimed he was not a dealer. He will carry out his sentence in Prey Sar prison, where he has been detained since his arrest in January. The Judge, Svay Tonh ordered that three phones and a passport taken from him during his arrested would be returned at the end of his jail term in 2024.
