Nigerian duo Odion Ighalo and Isaac Success fired blanks for Watford in their latest preseason friendly against Stevenage played at the Lamex Stadium yesterday.
The Hornets win the game by 2-0 courtesy strikes by Etienne Capoue and substitute Jerome Sinclair as Watford intensified preparation for the 2016/17 season under new manager Walter Mazzarri.
Ighalo who was their topscorer last season saw his shot hacked off the line in the fifth minute as the Premier League side dominated early on.

Rowan Liburd went close for Stevenage but that was the best they came to threatening Watford. Ighalo was on his element as he saw a second shot cleared off the line just before the half-hour mark.
It was surprisingly goalless in the first half but in the 50th minute it all changed as former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Etienne Capoue scored a screamer to open scoring.
Watford hit the woodwork twice in the second half as last seasons forward combo Ighalo and Troy Deeney tried to increase the lead.
New record signing Isaac Success came on for the Hornets in the last 15 minutes of the encounter but it was fellow substitute Jerome Sinclair that confirmed the win with a last minute header to end the game 2-0.
