While Iwobi gained rave reviews in his debut senior campaign with Arsenal last season and will aim to consolidate this term, Akpom is back at Emirates Stadium after a stint on loan at Hull City.

Such is the zeal of Iwobi and Akpom, as they were both found putting in battling efforts during training, as they joined 12 other first team players for the start pre-season training on Tuesday.
Iwobi and Akpom were spotted doing the drills alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Debuchy, Per Mertesacker, Gabriel, Nacho Monreal, Mohammed Elneny, Theo Walcott, Yaya Sanogo, Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers and Serge Gnabry as well as some youngsters from the reserves team.
However, while Iwobi is guaranteed to remain with the first team and build on his strong finish last season, same cannot be said about Akpom, who could find himself further down the pecking order if The Gunners sign a top striker this summer.
Iwobi is now a full international with the Super Eagles, while Akpom is reportedly ready to snub England and is expected to feature for Nigeria in their next friendly game.
