Tom Saintfiet, one of the shortlisted candidates for theNigeria coaching job, is set to be taken from the grasp of the Nigeria Football Federation after he was invited by the Bangladeshi Football Federation with a view to taking over as their national coach.
The 43-year old Belgian is currently in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh after being invited by the BFF for talks over the possibility of becoming their new head coach and to replace Lodewijk de Kruif.
Although media reports in Bangladesh suggest the former Ethiopia coach has already been appointed, he has however not signed a deal with them yet.
Saintfiet, along with Paul Le Guen and Salisu Yusuf were shortlisted as candidates to replace Sunday Oliseh as the substantive coach of the Super Eagles and while media reports in Nigeria have indicated Frenchman Le Guen is the preferred candidate, the NFF is however yet to confirm any of them.
