Super Eagles attacker Michael Babatunde has agreed a deal to join Qatari club SC Qatar, his club, Raja Casablanca has announced.
The 23-year old has been impressive for Raja since joining them from Dnipro of Ukraine last January but will now move to Qatar, as both Raja and SC Qatar have agreed terms in the region of $1.1m (N330m), while the player will receive a signing bonus of $2.1m (N630m) once the deal happens.
It represents a significant upgrade for the player, who had to quit the Ukrainian league over unpaid wages.
Following his move to Morocco, Babatunde has helped Raja record success in the league, as they have now climbed to third on the table and are eight points off leaders FUS Rabat.
He came off the bench to assist the goal for Nigeria’s winner against Mali in an international friendly last Friday in Rouen, France.
