MFM FC moved to the eighth position in the Nigeria Professional Football League table after a 2-0 win against Niger Tornadoes at the Agege Stadium on Monday,
The matchday 17 fixture was pushed to Monday morning after a heavy downpour on Sunday rendered the pitch at the Agege Stadium unplayable.
The hosts took the lead in the 26th minute when Niger Tornadoes defender, Abiodun Adebayo, diverted the ball into his net.
Stephen Odey doubled MFM's lead on the stroke of half time. It was Odey's sixth goal of the campaign.
The visitors' forward, Ismaila Gata, who has scored nine goals this term, was put in check throughout the game the home side's defence.
MFM FC with the win have now gone four consecutive home games without conceding, having failed to keep a clean sheet in the previous five.
