Roy Hodgson has named his provisional England squad for the European Championship this summer, (Click HERE if you missed it!) and some fans are up in arms of his exclusion of Man City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
The impressive 19-year-old has broken into the City first team this season, and partnered Sergio Aguero in Sunday's final game of the season away at Swansea City, scoring his twelfth Premier League goal of an impressive campaign.
He's definitely stood out as one of the best young talents playing in the UK at the moment, and we'd be well in favour of him taking a spot at the Euros in France...if he wasn't Nigerian.
Yup, in case you're not quite up to speed, Iheanacho was born and raised in Imo, Nigeria, and he already has two senior caps for his country.
Moreover, he turned out for Nigeria at under-17 and under-20 level, but that hasn't stopped these supporters from being absolutely outraged at Hodgson passing him over:
Rashford makes 26 man list for England while Iheanacho snubbed, Iheanacho > Rashford though 🐸☕️— J (@Matamatically) May 16, 2016
@England How was #Rashford made the squad and Iheanacho hasnt. Scored far more goals than him, Roy so biased to United ffs #England— Youth football (@Youthfootball10) May 16, 2016
Hahaha, Rashford in the 26 man England squad but no Iheanacho, Wes Morgan or Pickford. Good lord, Roy. You fool.— Rhys Clough (@rhysclough) May 16, 2016
Can't believe Rashford gets in ahead of Iheanacho. He's miles better. #England #EnglandSquad #EURO2016— Just be coz (@Cozzie1981) May 16, 2016
