NPFL sides Ifeanyi Ubah FC and Rivers United are both in pursuit of Super Eagles and Lobi Stars FC goal tender Okiemute Marshall Odah, as confirmed to our correspondent by the player’s manager Ikpo Moses.
The former Warri Wolves man is currently under contract with the Makudi based outfit Lobi but with the mid-season transfer window opened for business, Ifeanyi Ubah who recently got a N100m transfer war chest from its owner are believed to be considering landing Odah to boost their goalkeeping ranks while Rivers United are looking to sign a healthy competition for first choice goal keeper Sunday Rotimi.
Speaking to fcnaija.com in an exclusive interview, Moses confirmed receiving offers from both NPFL sides and some foreign clubs but while he has ruled out any sudden move for Odah whom he says is committed to Lobi, the manager believes the offers speak volume of Odah’s class and experience.
“Currently we have received offers and also talked with both local and foreign clubs as regards Odah. Clubs like Ifeanyi Ubah FC, Rivers United and even his former club Warri Wolves want us to settle the case of debt owed him and see a possible reunion.”
“Though we have told them that he has an existing contract with Lobi Stars FC of Makudi. There’s nothing bad in receiving offers from club’s that to secure his services.” Moses stated.
Odah who was was part of the Sunday Oliseh led side to the 2016 CHAN championship staged in Rwanda has had spells with Israeli sides Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan F.C and Maccabi Netanya F.C during his time in Europe
