Nigeria international Obafemi Martins has donated food items
to an orphanage home.
The striker took to his Instagram to share a photo of the
gifts he gave out to Heritage Home in Lagos.
“Nigerians deserve to
live a better life, but the government alone cannot do everything. It is left
for organisations and individuals who are in a position to also help those in
need,” the striker wrote alongside the photo.
From the photo, cartons of noodles, vegetable oil,
toiletries, bags of rice and soft drinks were some of the items donated to the
orphanage home.
Martins reportedly earns over N2b ($6.6 million) at his
Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua.
Martins became the latest player to move to the Chinese
Super League after swapping the Seattle Sounders for Shanghai Shenhua earlier
in the year.
