Radamel Falcao is reportedly on the radar of Roma as they are understood to be weighing up a move to sign the striker from AS Monaco at the end of the season.
The Colombian striker is said to be seen as an ideal replacement for Edin Dzeko, who has found the net just 13 times this campaign.
Nigerian youngster Sadiq Umar is also on the books of the Capital-based club and he could be getting run-in with Falcao who has been a flop at current club Chelsea same way he was at Manchester United.
According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Roma are interested in signing the 30-year-old – currently on loan at Chelsea – but are concerned by his rumoured £5.45m wage demands.
Falcao is also struggling for fitness, having played only 10 Premier League games for the Blues since joining on loan from Monaco last summer.
Roma have previously been linked with a move for Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic, with talks reported to be at an early stage.
