Falcons Head Coach Florence Omagbemi says her side has nothing to fear when they clash with Senegal in the second leg of the African Women’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Senegal on Tuesday.
Both sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg played on Friday in Dakar. Chioma Wogu put Nigeria ahead before the hosts equalized in the second half to end the tie on stalemate.
But Omagbemi says her side will go all out to secure a win on Tuesday.
“Our objective was to get a win in Dakar, but it didn’t happen. Now, we have no choice but to do the business here on our own ground. There is nothing to fear. We have the players to lift Nigeria to victory.”
The Teranga Lioness delegation flew with the Super Falcons back to Nigeria on Saturday afternoon, and had their official training at the National Stadium, Abuja on yesterday evening.
Tuesday’s second leg clash will start at 4pm at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Kick off time; 4pm
Venue: Abuja national stadium
