Manchester United have lodged a transfer offer for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports in Italy.
Koulibaly has made 44 appearances for Napoli since making his debut for the Serie A outfit in 2014 but is now being linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Gianluca Di Marzio says the Red Devils, as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, have submitted ‘concrete’ offers for the 24-year-old centre-back.
United, however, may struggle to land Koulibaly as the Senegal international’s agent Bruno Satin is currently discussing a contract renewal with Napoli.
Louis van Gaal is keen to bring in defensive reinforcements ahead of the 2016/17 campaign and Koulibaly is thought to be one of a number of targets for the Dutch boss.
