Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi will serve out his three-match ban by missing Friday’s AFCON 2017 qualifier against Egypt as the Super Eagles will hold their final training Thursday evening at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
Onazi was sent off against Chad in an AFCON qualifier in June and has so far missed two official matches, the two legs of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Swaziland last year.
The energetic midfielder will be available for selection for the reverse fixture on Tuesday in Alexandria.
Officials have also disclosed the Eagles will round up their preparations for Friday’s showdown against Egypt with an hour’s training at the match venue.
The Eagles will train from 3.30pm local time.
Egypt, who jetted into Nigeria Wednesday night, will have a first feel of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium pitch from 5pm.
Friday’s match will kick off 5pm local time.
