Ronaldo appears to be building his strength by eating oversized portions ahead
of his side's La Liga clash with rival neighbour Atletico this weekend.
Real trail second placed Atletico
by a single point heading into Saturday's meeting at the Bernabeu - with
runaway leaders and title favourites Barcelona a further nine points ahead.
Ronaldo, who missed a penalty in
the 1-1 draw with Malaga last weekend, shared an Instagram picture captioned
'My food!!!' - showing a side of calamari and an enormous plate of Nicoise
salad, including boiled eggs, tomatoes, potatoes and tuna.
Despite the servings, he
31-year-oldt has reportedly adopted a fruit heavy diet in a a bid to prolong
his career - a decision made after he turned 30
last year, according to Spanish daily ABC.
It is claimed that Ronaldo has
lost two kilograms, taking him down to 78kg, and wants to lose another kilogram
per year to ensure he maintains his speed and fitness - while easing off his
rigorous personal training regime.
