The Mountain of Fire and Miracle, MFM FC continued their impressive start to the NPFL season as they recorded their second win on the bounce as they beat visiting Rivers United FC 2-1 at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday.
The Olukoya Boys were on in cruise control with two goals in the first half before the visitors pulled one back in the second half but it was not enough to deny the ambitious Lagos team who now have the maximum six points from their opening two fixtures.
It was Ifeanyi Ifeanyi that put the hosts in front from the penalty spot before Sikiru Olatubosun doubled the lead for MFM FC.
Though Oboamate reduced the tally in the second half it was not enough to deny the hosts maximum points especially after goalkeeper James Aiyeyemi produced a couple saves to help his side record another win
In another game, Kelvin Itoya was Warri Wolves hero in a Week 2 game of the NPFL after he scored the only goal of the game to earn his team a 1-0 win over Kano Pillars.

Wolves now have four points from two games. Itoya scored the winner off a rebound in the concluding minutes of the game to dash any hopes of Pillars getting a point in Warri.
In Lokoja, David Sunday helped Giwa FC get their first point of the season after they drew 1-1 with Niger Tornadoes
Niger Tornadoes went ahead through Lukman Mohammed in the 45th minute. Sunday then restored parity for the Jos club in the 64th minute.
In Bauchi, Wikki Tourists and Heartland settled for a goalless draw, same result recorded last season at the same venue.
Lobi Stars striker Tony Okpotu continued from where he stopped last season as he scored the first brace of the season to help Lobi beat Sunshine Stars 2-1 in a Week 2 clash.
Lobi Stars now have six points from two games. Okpotu opened the scoring in the 36th minute to send the home fans jubilating. But Sunshine Stars draw level in the 68th minute through Emmanuel Sunday. Two minutes later, Okpotu scored the winner after a good pass from Barnabas Imenger.
