Senegal's El Hadj Diouf fired shots at Carragher and former Liverpool captain Steven Gerard in a bitter exchange of words that has continued since last year.
In a new interview with the same French magazine, the two time African footballer of the year condemned Carragher again in a strongly worded rant.
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has clapped back at his former Reds teammate El Hadji Diouf after the former Senegal striker called him a ‘f****** loser’ in an interview earlier today.
Diouf was quoted in a French magazine, So Foot as saying: “The difference between Jamie and me is that I am a world-class player and he is a s***.
|Diouf played for Liverpool after Senegal heroics at the world cup in 2002 and scored 3 goals in 55 matches|
“The type of s*** that writes a book and mentions me all the time. Me, in my book, he does not warrant one phrase: he’s a f****** loser.”
Responding to the jibe, the former England defender said via his official twitter account: “The other big difference is he’s scored less goals for LFC in the Premier League than me!”
Carragher may have been right, but he played in much more games and spent a lot more time at Liverpool than Diouf did. He scored four goals in 508 games, as against the Senegalese’s three in 55 games at Anfield.
Diouf went on to claim that his international record put that of Gerrard in the shade, saying: “I carried the national team for many years, 14 million fans on my shoulders.
“What I represented for Senegal, he [Gerrard] never managed 100th of that for England. He has never done anything in the World Cup or the Euros.”
Both Anfield greats have been critical of the ex-Senegal striker in the past, with Diouf replying by labeling Carragher “useless” and “a turkey”, while calling Gerrard an “egotist”.
