Premier league relegation battlers Sunderland plan to relaunch a second bid for Swansea City forward Andre Ayew amid reports that a £10 million offer has been turned down – while Liverpool have also been linked according to South Wales Evening Post
Sunderland have firmed up their reported interest in Ayew with a concrete bid for the Ghana star. That bid, which was reportedly worth £10 million, has been rejected by Swansea.
But it may be that Sam Allardyce comes back with an improved offer for the former Marseille man. Liverpool, meantime, are again being credited with an interest in Ayew, who has been one of Swansea's better performers so far this season.
Swansea would be reluctant to sell at a time when they are trying to add to their attacking options rather than reduce them. But that has not stopped Allardyce trying his luck over Ayew, who is Swansea's leading scorer with seven goals.
