Marseille and AC Milan are both set to make late transfer
window offers for Swansea and Leicester target Seydou Doumbia.
The Ivorian striker signed a four-year deal with Roma only 12
months ago, when the Italian club paid CSKA Moscow around £11m to sign him.
However he struggled to adapt to life in Italy and was
loaned back to the Russian side during the summer.
He has scored five times in 13 league appearances for his
old employers so far this term, but he could yet be on the move once again
before the window shuts.
Both Swansea and Leicester are reportedly keen on luring
Doumbia to the Premier League as they bid to bolster their frontlines in time
for the run-in.
However, now reports in Italy have revealed that they will
face firm competition for the 28-year-old's services from within Serie A and
France.
Marseille are understood to be lining up a loan offer while
Milan could be willing to offer Roma cash to buy him this month – or at least
loan him with a view to a permanent move.
