Chelsea star Christian Atsu completed a loan move to La Liga side Malaga on Monday, signing a deal until the end of the season.
Today I signed on loan with Málaga CF until the end of the season. I can't wait to play for the team #Godisthereason pic.twitter.com/u43IsgS5Rr— Christian Atsu (@ChristianAtsu20) January 25, 2016
Atsu joined Chelsea from Porto in 2013 and has spent the bulk of his Blues career out on loan. He spent the first half of the 2015-16 season with Bournemouth but was scarcely used by the Cherries.
The 24-year-old has barely started a league match since returning from a loan spell with Dutch side Vitesse two years ago. He had an unproductive spell with Everton and did even less with Bournemouth, which is why he was recalled at the start of the January transfer window.
He remains a special talent, as evidenced by the fact he was named Player of the Tournament at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations
