Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara seems to be closing in on
a move to the Premier League.
The 18 year old Guinean defensive midfielder from Bologna has sent
his representatives to London and is having talks with the Premier League
champions Chelsea according to reports in Italy (via Telegraph).
Although the Serie A midfielder is being courted by the
likes of Juventus, Chelsea are believed to be in the pole position.
The Bologna youngster has been very impressive this season
and has averaged 1.7 tackles and 2.3 interceptions per game in the league.
Diawara could be a handy backup option for the Serbian
Nemanja Matic now. Chelsea are lacking defensive depth in the central midfield
and Diawara’s signing makes complete sense.
