Victor Anichebe has said he hopes to be fit for this weekend game for West Brom when they host Stoke City. The 27-year-old big striker suffered an injury in ‘The Baggies’ 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Monday and limped off few minutes to the end of the game in what look like a hamstring. But the ex-Everton forward said he hopes it's not a bad one.
"I hope it's ok," Anichebe said. "I don't know if it was a cramp or I pulled it I don't really know. "It didn't feel as bad as before even though my reaction it looked like I was snipered from the ground. "Hopefully it's not too bad, we have a good medical team here and hopefully they can get me back as soon as possible.
"Hopefully the injury is not too serious so I can come back and get some goals." Injuries have blighted Anichebe's career since he signed his first professional contract at Everton.
