The Confederation of African Football, CAF have confirmed
that Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim and Supersports of South Africa
presenter, Robert Marawa will be the official comperes of the 2015 Glo-CAF
Awards Gala, billed for Thursday, 7 January 2016 at the International

Ibrahim won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the
2010 Ghana Movie Awards for her role in ‘4-play’ and has been referred to as
the “Most Beautiful West African Woman” according to A-listers Magazine.
Nine years ago, Ibrahim was just an usher at the 2007
Glo-CAF awards that held in Ghana; five years later, a guest in the 2012 and
2014 editions, sitting in the crowd while Dumas graced the stage.
A year since then, the divorced mother of one will now mount the stage where she had looked on to, addressing the crowd and announcing winners of Africa’s most prestigious football awards event.

BELIEVE! Juliet Ibrahim has risen from an Usher to a co-host |
Ibrahim’s rise from one whose job is to direct guests and
dignitaries to their tables, to one who would now call out the winners is one
that breeds familiarity in a peculiar terrain; an ambition secretly nursed from
a vague vantage point.
Marawa on the other hand, is anchoring the annual Awards
Gala for the third time having co- hosted the 2011 edition in Accra with
ex-Ghana defender, Tony Bafoe and the 2014 edition in Lagos with Joselyn Canfor
Dumas.
Guests at the International Conference Centre, Abuja will,
no doubt enjoy the combination of Juliet and Robert when they anchor the
ceremony to be attended by the crème de la crème of African football.
A host of Nigerian and other African stars have been billed
to perform at the event
According to The Punch, African stars to perform include
Salif Keita, an afro-pop singer and songwriter from Mali; Ladysmith Black
Mambazo, a South African male choral group who rose to worldwide prominence
when they sang with Paul Simon on his 1986 album Graceland, and have won
multiple awards, including four Grammy Awards and Awilo Longomba.
Nigerian artistes to perform at the event are Wizkid, D'banj, King
Sunny Ade, Korede Bello, Flavour and Omawumi who are all ambassadors of the
telecommunication giants.
