South Africa’s Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns have told Nigerian winger Ejike Uzoenyi he can leave the club if he gets a better offer.
Sundowns manager Pitso Mosimane, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, said Uzoenyi, along with Zambian midfielder Mukuka Mulenga will be released once they get good offers.
“We are going to release them to go if there is a team interested.” “But we have to honour their contracts, we can’t dump them,” Mosimane said.
Uzoenyi, 23, joined the ‘Brazilians’ in 2014, shortly after the CHAN tournament in South Africa where he shone as Nigeria finished third, but he has struggled for game time as he has suffered several injuries.
The former Enugu Rangers winger is still training with the club, but is not registered with the club for the PSL season.
