Following the successful completion of the group stage matches for the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2016), focus now turns to the knock stages.
24 exciting matches were played over a period of eight days in the four groups' action.
Rwanda and Ivory Coast progressed from group A, Tunisia and Guinea (B), DR Congo and Cameroon (C) as Zambia alongside Mali were the successful countries from group D.
The ejected nations departed for the respective countries. After a two day rest (Thursday and Friday), the quarter finals start on Saturday with two matches.
Hosts, Rwanda plays DR Congo at the Amahoro stadium in the earlier match before the second game hours later at Huye. Cameroon will take on Ivory Coast in an West African derby.
On Sunday, Tunisia plays Mali at the Kigali regional stadium in Nyamirambo in the earlier game. An hour later, Zambia will take on Guinea at the Umuganda stadium in Rubavu.
A new champion awaits to be crowned on Sunday, 7th February 2016 because Libya, the defending champions did not qualify for the finals.
