Roma are eyeing Watford sensation Odion Ighalo. The Nigerian striker has been a revelation for Watford this season and his form hasn't gone unnoticed throughout Europe.
Calciomercato.com says Roma are weighing up making a bid for Ighalo in January. Roma already have Edin Dzeko on the books, but want cover for the former Manchester City striker and Ighalo fits the bill.
Any move for Ighalo will have to go through Udinese, where Watford's owners, the Pozzo family, must decide whether its worth strengthening a direct Serie A rival.
Meanwhile Atletico Madrid will reportedly attempt to sign Ighalo in the January transfer window. The Nigerian has struck 26 league goals this calendar year – more than any other player in English football – and 14 of those have come in the Premier League this season.
Ighalo has plenty of experience in La Liga having represented Granada during two separate loan spells from Udinese, before completing a permanent move to Watford last year. According to The Mirror, Atletico boss Diego Simeone is a huge admirer of the 26-year-old and will tell his club to push ahead with a move next month
