Once promising ex-youth international, Stanley Okoro (aka Little Messi) has taken a further plunge in his dithering career, as the former Heartland of Owerri attacker is now training with a third division club in Spain.
Okoro now 23 years old initially found his range at former top-flight side, Almeria, few months after toiling with the Golden Eaglets at Nigeria 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, but has failed to step up into the mainstream and is now seeking a revival in the third tier.
This comes after Okoro confirmed that he has ended his collaboration with Segunda División side Almeria, after spending four years at the Andalusian outfit. In his final season with the Spanish side, Okoro made five appearances off the bench for the B team of Almeria in the league but, ahead of a move, probably in the January transfer window, he is now being put through his spaces in the third division.
“I am no longer in Almeria, I left there since June. I don’t know for now where I’ll be heading to. I am in Spain training with a third division team here,” Okoro
