The remains of Haruna will be committed to mother earth on Monday even as many are still in shock on the mysterious demise of the player Haruna, who has also had stints with Heartland and played for the Super Sand Eagles, would be buried on Monday morning according to Islamic rites. The player left behind Surayya, his wife whom he married in 2012.
The union is blessed with a baby boy. Speaking with 366football.com, Pillars media officer Idris Malikawa said that the death of Haruna is not only sad but the shocking death still remains a mystery.
According to him, the deceased showed no sign of illness and the friendly match that claimed his life was between his colleagues and some overseas-based professionals held in a very small pitch in Kano.
Malikawa revealed that Haruna fell down unchallenged and was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital before he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
“Every body in Kano Pillars are still in a state of shock as regards the death of Haruna. It is unbelievable such a nice person will die so early like this.
We pray that Allah grant his eternal rest and may his family be able to bear the loss. A couple of Nigerian players have lost their life in the cause of action of whom is the late Sam Okwaraji.
