Former Arsenal and Super Eagles forward Kanu Nwankwo has expressed delight with the impressive form of Watford striker Odion Ighalo. The Nigerian international was on target as Watford stood strong to claim all three points, defeating Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.
The lone strike was his 10th goal of the season and his 26th in 2015 – more than any other player in the top four tiers of English football. Reacting to Ighalo’s goals scoring form in the league following the qualification to top flight football last season, the 1996 and 1999 African Footballer of the year who spent 11 years in the English top division took to twitter to acknowledge the hard work and impressive form of the former Granada man.
Kanu has won a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup Winners Medals and two African Player of the Year awards amongst others. He is also one of few players to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and an Olympic Gold Medal.Congrats Ighalo.keep going and we all can see your hard works and is paying so I wish more goals and keep doing what you know how to do.— Kanu Nwankwo (@papilokanu) December 12, 2015
