Andre Ayew has been sensational for both Olympique Marseille and Swansea City in the year 2015 with Yaya Toure of Manchester City captaining Ivory Coast to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal scoring form for German side Borussia Dortmund has been sensational as the player is up there with Europe’s best scoring players. The three players were all named in the 2015 BBC African Player of the Year award, an accolade which Yaya Toure took last Friday.
Nigerian duo of Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Nwakali have been nominated for the CAF Youth Player of the Year. The youngsters will compete against Adama Traore of Mali, Yaw Yeboah of Ghana and Samuel Diarra of Mali .
Both the Nigeria U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets that won an unprecedented 5th title at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and the Nigeria U-23 that finished tops at the just concluded Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, have also been nominated for the National Team of Year Category. Others in run for the National Team of Year in Africa are the 2015 AFCON champions, the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, runners-up, The Black Stars of Ghana, as well as the Malian U-17 team that lost to Nigeria in the final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The winners will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria
Top among the list is the three shortlisted contenders for the 2015 African Player of the Year. They are; Andre Ayew (Ghana/ Swansea City), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon/ Borussia Dortmund) and Yaya Toure (Cote d"Ivoire/ Manchester City).
For the African Player of the Year - Based in Africa, the top three finalists are; Baghdad Boundjah (Algeria/: Etoile du Sahel), Mbwana Aly Samata (Tanzania/ TP Mazembe) and Robert Kidiaba (DR Congo/ TP Mazembe) .
