In the second half, Russian side goalkeeper, Igor Akinfeev fumbled a low range shot into his net to put Wolfsburg ahead in the 67th minute.
Moments after CSKA responded through Musa, who found plenty of space on the left before sending a dangerous cross into the box which was deny by the visitors defence.
Andre Schurrle dashed CSKA’s hope of getting back into the game as he sent the ball into the bottom corner of the net on the half-volley.
The visitors controlled the middle of the park and their Russia opponents failed to make the most of any chances that fell their way.
The defeat means CSKA are now out of the Champions league and are rock bottom in their group
