AFCON 2013 REVIEW: Mali claim first Victory, Ghana slip up

A late goal from Captain Seydou Keita gave Mali victory over Niger and the first win of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Barcelona midfielder slotted in with six minutes remaining, after the game looked to be heading for a fourth draw of the finals.
Niger keeper Daouda Kassaly dropped Fousseiny Diawara's cross from the right, leaving Keita to volley home.
The win takes Mali to the top of Group B, after Ghana and DR Congo had earlier drawn 2-2.

DR Congo came back from 2-0 down to deny Ghana victory in the first game of Group B at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana scored the first goal of the tournament when Emmanuel Agyemang Badu slid home from Kwadwo Asamoah's pass.

Asamoah doubled Ghana's lead when he headed in at the far post but Tresor Mputu replied quickly for DR Congo, poking home from inside the box.
And DR Congo restored parity when Dieumerci Mbokani scored a penalty after being dragged down by his shirt.
